Social Events
There's not a night to be missed during the 2009 PA State Convention! The prices will be right, the food will be great, and the entertainment will be outstanding. Packages will be available for a variety of event combinations, and we plan on including an option that will allow those that just want to enjoy the entertainment with their friends and family to purchase "entertainment only" tickets at a reduced price.
ALL of our package/ticket combinations include complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks! Mixed drinks will be available at a cash bar.
Ice Breaker
This event is designed to give the weary Irish traveler an opportunity for a bite to eat, a sip or two of something nice to drink, and a way to reconnect with other Hibernians that you haven't seen or talked to since as far back as the last convention. This is an informal event, and preliminary plans call for a festive atmosphere, a food buffet, and music.

Irish Night
Be prepared for a great time this night! An Irish meal will be served to those that purchase the dinner and entertainment package, which will be followed by an evening with one of the best and liveliest Irish bands in Western Pennsylvania! This group will leave you laughing, food stomping, and dancin' into the wee hours. Doors will open following dinner for those that choose the "Entertainment Only" ticket option, and we'll all enjoy the evening's entertainment together!

Open Night
No Convention Committee dinner or entertainment events are scheduled for this evening to allow our guests to use their time as they choose. However, the members of AOH Division 17, Monroeville, have a clubhouse just down the road from the hotel. Bus service is being planned to shuttle our guests to the club and back. Since they are already remodeling, painting, and fixing up the place, this is sure to be a memorable visit. Come and partake of the hospitality of the Irish Club of Monroeville!
Other touring options are still in the planning stages. Possibilities are a baseball game at PNC Park, as well as trips to a variety of food, shopping, and entertainment venues in the Pittsburgh area.

Final Banquet
This formal dress event will have dinner served to those that purchase the dinner and entertainment package. We promise that there will be an absolute minimum of greetings, speeches, and recognitions. We have attended many conventions and realize that all of our guests want to have a good time, including us! Raffle winners, etc, will be notified of their winnings at a date and time other than this event because of the time-consuming nature of that activity.
But, any Hibernian that visited Pittsburgh for the State President's Dinner honoring Jim Green, or maybe even heard about it, will look forward to this event! Our banquet hall doors will again open following dinner for those that choose the "Entertainment Only" ticket option, so that we can all enjoy the evening's entertainment together! (Formal dress is not required, of course, of guests that have "entertainment-only" tickets) The entertainment will be "The Mansfield 5", and these guys are sure to get you on the dance floor, groovin' like you're back in high school! Gentlemen, bring a handkerchief to wipe your brow! The Ladies will have you moving on THIS night! It's a break away from the traditional Irish music and a step back in time to the good old days of the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
