We'd like to welcome our Brother and Sister Hibernians of the Keystone State to the 2009 Pennsylvania AOH/LAOH State Convention and our website. We hope that this site will provide you with valuable and up to date information regarding our upcoming convention at the Radisson Hotel Pittsburgh in Green Tree, PA.

Many of you may remember staying in this hotel when you visited Pittsburgh for the testimonial dinner honoring Immediate Past LAOH National President Dorothy Weldon. Additional details about the accommodations, etc, are available under the "Location" tab of this website, and on the hotel website at http://www.radisson.com/hotels/papittsb.

You can make your room reservations any time you'd like. For internet reservations, please follow the instructions below. To call the hotel for reservations, dial 1-888-201-1718 (direct number for the hotel) or 1-800-333-3333 for the Radisson Hotels main reservation line. In any case, please mention "AOH09" as the promotional code for our special rate.

  1) Enter the website using the link above.
  2) Type the dates of your stay in the "from" and "to" boxes. Click the "GO" button.
  3) Normal rates will come up for those dates, so on the right hand side of the page, type "AOH09"
      in the "Promotional Code" box under "Search for Special Rates" and click on "search".
  4) The $99.00 rate will appear.

Ad Book support forms are also available today under the "Ad Book" tab of this site, and convention registration forms will be available to you very shortly via this website, through email distribution, and State newsletters. Please visit this site often to keep up with the latest information.

The Men's and Ladies Orders in Allegheny County can boast of a Hibernian population of over a thousand combined members. We believe that will translate into well attended meetings and events, with plenty of leadership and volunteers to ensure that all of our guests are comfortable and well provided for.

Our committee in Allegheny County is excited about the upcoming convention, and we have the experience of hosting State and National Conventions here in the past to help guide us. We've also paid attention when we, as delegates, attended other State and National conventions, and we intend to use all of those experiences to tailor our meetings and events to maximize the education and enjoyment of all our delegates and guests. We know what Hibernians like, and what they don't like, in everything from convention registration at the hotel, to food, entertainment, hotel rooms, and hospitality suites. We will make every effort to ensure that you'll come away feeling that we've "set the standard" for how future conventions should be run.

We are anticipating a great attendance from our friends across the State as well as those in our local community, and we look forward to providing you with a great time at our convention!
